LWV Voter Forum - San Juan Island Grange
The League of Women Voters of the San Juans, a non-partisan, non-profit organization, is sponsoring voter forums on San Juan, Orcas, and Lopez Islands for county residents to get to know the County Council candidates on the ballot for the November election.
Every voter in the County gets a ballot showing candidates in both District 1 and District 2. All San Juan County registered voters may vote for both the District 1 and the District 2 County Council candidates.
The forums will be livestreamed by CNL2, the local video news service for the SJIs, at https://cnl2.com/.
The Voter Forum is a moderated event during which candidates will present introductory statements and respond to your questions, within time limits. The League of Women Voters requires civil discourse in forums, and all questions to candidates must meet that requirement. Community members who wish to ask questions of candidates but cannot attend in person may email their questions in advance of the forums to the League at pres.lwvsji@gmail.com.
Waldron Island Candidate Forum @ The Schoolhouse
This event is to provide outer island residents on Waldron Island an opportunity to meet candidates for County Council District 1, ask questions, share concerns and hear what the candidates have to say.
